It is scary when you start a business or come across a bump in the road.

However, the people that usually take the safe path are the ones who feel unfulfilled in the end.

Choose the difficult path and keep pushing, things always turn out for the best in the end.

August 2007, my wife gave birth to our daughter, a week later we found out she had ovarian cancer.

After she went through chemotherapy, her cancer doctor told her she should get her breasts removed due to cells that were found there.

• She is in the process of getting that done.
  
  
• However, in November, I was laid off from my job.
  

I believe that if you take chances and keep pushing, you will succeed.

Through all that we have learned to keep our heads up and stay focused.

• We could both hide our heads and cry, "Why me."
  
  
• However, we have not and things are starting to turn around for us.
